Rikk Watts (PhD)
Rikk Watts first served at Regent College in Vancouver as a professor of New Testament from 1996 until 2016 before he moved back to his home country of Australia, where he served as the Dean of Theology at Aphacrucis College. He has since returned and currently is the Research Professor of New Testament at Regent College. He was a founding member of On Being, a major Australian Christian magazine, and supported himself and his family as a professional drummer. In addition to Alphacrucis and Regent, Dr. Watts has served as an instructor at Gordon-Conwell (Boston), Wycliffe Hall (Oxford), Latrobe University (Melbourne), and the Bible College of Victoria (Melbourne). He began teaching at Summit’s School of Graduate Studies in 2021.
Dr. Watts is prolific public speaker. He has also published several academic works, including the book, Isaiah’s New Exodus in Mark, Baker Academic, 2000.
