Riku Tuppurainen (DTh)

Riku Tuppurainen has been serving significant period of times as a senior leader in several churches in Canada. He has been the Dean of Graduate Studies at Summit since 2015. Currently he also serves as Global Theological Training Specialist at GlobalEd. Before moving back to Canada, he was the Dean of Graduate Studies at Continental Theological Seminary in Belgium where he still teaches as an adjunct professor of New Testament. He has taught in various countries in Europe, South-East Asia, and West Africa, and has pastoral experience from his native country of Finland, as well as from several cities in Canada.  

Dr. Tuppurainen has published academic articles and book reviews in various academic journals. He has edited two books, Pentecostal Issues, Ecclesiology & Ecumenism: Papers Presented in Theological Positions Colloquiums 2010 & 2011, Continental Theological Seminary, 2011 (co-edited); and Reading St. Luke’s Text and Theology: Pentecostal Voices, Pickwick, 2019.  He has also authored a book entitled, A Prologue to Studies in the Fourth Gospel: Its Independency, Issues, and Interpretations, Wipf and Stock, 2021.
